The People’s Democratic Party of Ndokwa West Local Government has officially constituted College of Youth Leaders across all wards in the LGA.
The council chairman, Chief Goddey Obi Nzete who anchored the process, highlighted its significance in enhancing youth involvement and reinforcing the party’s grassroots structure, aimed at the continued growth and development of the party in the locality.
He also noted that his involvement was a testament to the patriotic leadership of the party in the LGA, recognizing His Excellency the deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme and the MD of DESOPADEC, Chief Festus M. Ochonogor amongst others as top frontiers of the continued developmental processes of the party.
Alongside the inclusivity of all youths in state appointments, the chairman outlined the seven recognized youth leadership positions:
1. Party Youth Leader
2. Community Youth Leader
3. Female Youth Leader
4. Student Leader
5. Religious Youth Leader
6. National Youth Council Representative
7. Non-Indigene Youth Leader
Each categorized youth leader would collaborate with a four-member support team, bringing the total to five representatives per category in every ward.
The chairman urged the youth leaders to be proactive and dedicated in their roles to advance party activities and community initiatives. He emphasized the importance of their contributions to grassroots mobilization and assured them of monthly stipends as motivation for their commitment as would be made available by the party.

Their presence underscored the importance of the initiative and their support for its success.
Speaking on behalf of the youth leaders, the LGA PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Ifeanyi Eze expressed heartfelt gratitude to the council chairman and the deputy governor for their steadfast support in promoting the party’s growth within Ndokwa West. He commended the productive collaboration with ward leaders that resulted in the successful constitution of the league. He also encouraged the youth leaders to fulfill their duties diligently, keeping the party’s vision alive through their efforts and dedication.
While giving vote of thanks, Hon. Goddey Mgbabego pointed out that his growth and relevance in the party was as a result of his unending loyalty to the party and encouraged the youth leaders to emulate from the footsteps of their predecessors.
The College of Youth Leaders will be formally inaugurated in Ndokwa west LGA on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
This landmark initiative showcases the party’s dedication to youth empowerment and inclusive governance, while fostering growth and unity within the state, though to the grassroots level.
