Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro, has been spotlighted by the Delta State Government as a model of effective university management, combining quality infrastructure with a strong practical-oriented academic system.
The Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said the institution’s steady growth reflects the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to functional education, noting that students’ engagement in hands-on projects has fostered industrial harmony and skill development. He added that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is pleased with the progress recorded under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob Oboreh.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, said the university has the academic manpower and infrastructure required to commence postgraduate programmes.
