Without Borrowing, Delta Governor Performs Beyond Expectations - Says Ossai Ovie Success
The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Delta State Mr Ossai Ovie Success has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has performed beyond expectations, achieving significant milestones without borrowing a single kobo.
According to Ossai, Oborevwori's administration has focused on Meaningful Development, Opportunity, Realistic Growth, and Economic Empowerment, transforming the state's infrastructure and empowering its citizens.
“Over the past two years, Governor Oborevwori has initiated and completed numerous projects, including over 600 road projects and 25 bridges, such as the 20.95km Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri Road featuring 15 bridges.
What about the ongoing N78 billion flyover construction projects in the Warri/Effurun axis, including the Enerhen Junction , PTI Junction and DSC Roundabout being handled by Julius Berger
Not long ago , the Governor performed the groundbreaking for the ₦39.3bn Otovwodo flyover, vows to end Ughelli gridlock and also performed the groundbreaking for the construction of N59.7bn Agbor/Uromi junction flyover being handled by julius Berger .”he said
Ossai further stated that the Governor has also recruited over 3,000 teachers and non-teaching staff, rehabilitated schools, and invested in healthcare and agriculture.
“The Governor has trained and supported over 300,000 youths through job creation and training, signed the Delta State Electricity Power Sector Bill, paid N5.522 billion promotion arrears for civil servants, and cleared N10 billion outstanding pension arrears.
Governor Oborevwori has also launched a comprehensive support system for 5,426 Deltans, comprising 1,600 petty traders, 1,826 artisans, and 2,000 female entrepreneurs.
He has approved the release of funds to support the D-CARES Programme, distributed N500 million to over 5,000 traders and artisans, and donated 31 vehicles to security operatives.
"Governor Oborevwori's vision is centered on building a prosperous Delta State, where citizens can thrive and reach their full potential," Ossai stated. "His initiatives have positively impacted the lives of Deltans, and we are committed to continuing this progress."
