Delta State Governor Pledges More Jobs for Youths through Infrastructure Projects

Delta State Governor,  has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to creating more employment opportunities for youths in the state. 





During a visit to the Julius Berger project site in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area, the governor emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in addressing unemployment and economic hardship.


In Addressing the issue of Unemployment and Economic Hardship, Governor Oborevwori highlighted the challenges facing young people in Delta State,   stressing the need for government initiatives to improve livelihoods and provide opportunities for the youth to thrive in our various ministries.


He noted that his administration is working tirelessly to create jobs and empower young people, and that his  partnerships with construction firms like Julius Berger is crucial to achieving this goal.


In the Governors speech he pointed out that More Projects will be awarded to Julius Berger Construction Company. 


The governor announced plans to award more projects to Julius Berger, including the reconstruction of the Effurun Roundabout to NPA axis. Noting that it is part of  the efforts to expand employment opportunities and accelerate infrastructural renewal across Warri, Effurun, and other parts of the state.


Seeking Support for APC and President Tinubu's Reforms

Governor Oborevwori also commended President Bola Tinubu's reforms, saying they have increased revenue available to state governments for projects and the prompt payment of workers' salaries. 


He urged Deltans and state stakeholders to support the APC in the 2027 elections to sustain the delivery of democratic dividends to Nigerians and Delta States precisely as he revealed his plan to leave a legacy that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
