Suspected terrorists reportedly attacked a school in a community near Iluke, Bunu District, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, killing three people, including the school's Vice Principal, Mr. Gani.
The attack sent residents into panic as gunmen stormed the area and opened fire.
According to reports, soldiers swiftly responded and engaged the attackers in a gun battle. One terrorist was neutralized during the operation, while several others were reportedly wounded.
However, the remaining terrorists managed to escape with their motorcycles before security forces could apprehend them.
The attack occurred in a community close to Iluke, where several residents have previously been kidnapped.
